AutoCAD: A Brief History

Autodesk, Inc. is an American manufacturer of software and mechanical design, manufacturing, and construction software and services. The company’s products and services include computer aided design (CAD), engineering, mechanical design, architectural and engineering visualization, video games, and the AutoCAD software product. The company operates worldwide, with over 13,000 employees. AutoCAD was introduced in 1982 and its market share is now about 37 percent.
